If that is you, the honest advice is to skip the browser tools fairly quickly and learn a real DAW — the free tiers of the major ones do everything a browser tool does and keep working as you improve.

When to start from a finished beat
Start from a ready-made instrumental if the song is the point. Most artists who spend their first months learning to produce end up with better beats and no finished songs, which is the wrong trade if you want to release music.
A finished instrumental is already arranged and already mixed to sit under a vocal, which removes the two things beginners find hardest. You write, record, and put it out.

A beatmaker composes the instrumental; a producer shapes the whole record, which can include picking the beat, directing the vocal performance, arranging the song and overseeing the mix. In practice the two overlap heavily and many people do both, which is why the words are often used interchangeably in rap. The Hit Bakerz members produce their own instrumentals, so both descriptions apply.

Free beats are instrumental tracks that a producer makes available to download at no upfront cost, under stated usage terms. "Free" describes the download, not the rights — the terms vary by producer, and they decide what happens when a song released on the beat starts earning. Hit Bakerz free beats carry one condition: the collective receives 50% of the royalties the released song generates, and the producer is credited.
