A free beat is an instrumental you can download and build a song on without paying for it first. What varies between producers is what happens after the song comes out — and that is the part worth reading before you record.
At Hit Bakerz the terms are deliberately short. Take the beat, make the record, release it. Hit Bakerz receives 50% of the royalties that release generates, and the producer is credited. There is no download fee, no subscription and no invoice later.

A lot of sites use "free" and "royalty free" as if they meant the same thing. They do not. Royalty free means no ongoing claim on what the song earns. Free means no cost to obtain it.
Hit Bakerz free beats are free, not royalty free. That is the honest description of a 50% share, and it is why the split is stated plainly on this page instead of buried in a licence PDF.
If the royalty share does not suit the project — a label release, a sync deal, anything where the ownership needs to be clean — buy a licence for the beat instead. The catalogue is the same either way.

Choosing a beat you can actually write to
Tempo before genre. Rap the first bars you already have over two or three candidates and see which one your cadence sits on without fighting it — that tells you more than any tag.
Then listen for space. A beat that is busy in the same frequency range as your voice will fight the vocal at mix stage no matter how good the mix engineer is. Play the whole thing through too: most of these instrumentals move somewhere in the second half.
